If you reside in the following stakes you will be in the new district. We have great news!!! The Cascade District is working hard to create a central database of all Merit Badge Counselor in the District. This new database will help unit leaders, parents and even you. We are contacting all current counselors and anyone who would like to be a counselor so we can clean our roster and make this a highly effective tool for everyone to use. Here is the process:
All MB Counselors must have these items completed to remain or added to the list:
1. Must be Registered with the Council – Adult Registration Form
2. Must submit the official MB application form – Merit Badge Counselor Information Form
3. Must take the District’s Certification Course (Course offered at May Roundtable)
4. Must have Youth Protection Training (If you need your ID for this training, let me know)
5. Must have an Email address on file
This process is started April 1st. Please help us get the word out to everyone. If you know anyone who would like to confirm their status or join the great volunteers of scouting, please have then e-mail me their contact information. I will help them to complete the process.
This is the time to act. The new list will be out May 1st. If you aren’t on it, you will have to re-register in order to teach any Merit Badges.
